Yet another iPhone “rip-off” Will they ever stop?

No, not he actual “ripping” part, but rather the labeling concept. Just read this Engadget article where a concept device, Teclast T59, appears “vaguely familiar” to the editor.

The fact is, most this “rip-offs” look nothing like the iPhone other than the full touchscreen, which was not even the first in the industry. Indeed, there is not another way to make a touch screen phone without looking at least a little similar with the iPhone. Did Apple patent the rectangular phone too? How about the glossy black finish and the chrome back? Sadly, it’s articles like this that make me read Engadget less and less.

I personally like this device. It is still a concept, but it seems that it will deliver a Windows CE-based 3G device with GPS, WiFi and FM, along with a VGA screen, a basic configuration today, but with great style!
